When one has a lot of pets, it is important to know that steam cleaning is an option. You can invest in a steam cleaner and do it yourself or you can look into services such as The Steam Team — http://www.thesteamteam.com/austin-cleaning-services/ — and have a professional take care of your needs. And they do not only deal with the usual carpet/upholstery cleaning that one immediately thinks of. They do a little bit of everything. They also offer things such as car carpet cleaning tips.

Personally, I’d much rather have a professional come in and take care of the issue because I know that they will do the job right while I would have still been reading the instructions to the steam cleaner or other device I’d purchased in order to do the job myself. Not to mention there is the whole thing about the type of surface being cleaned and the proper treatment. When a professional knows how to handle everything from tile and grout to hardwood to carpet to oriental rugs to marble and granite, I would definitely prefer to leave things in their hands rather than weeks later be lamenting over the damage done by my D I Y attempt. I would have been scratching my head or rearranging things to cover my blunder instead of enjoying my new clean surfaces.

Thanks to Olga Quinn

My best friend tried to convince me that I should start writing a blog. It was not until a few months ago that I started looking at blogs online. I find blogging very interesting because it is almost like reading someone’s diary online. I have found that blogs are not as popular in Tennessee, where my friend lives, as they are in Georgia. I’m not sure why that is, and maybe I just have not found many blogs written by people from Tennessee. I have read many blogs, but I have not found one that has inspired me to write my own. I really like looking at cooking blogs because they usually have beautiful pictures and step by step instructions for making the food. I also like craft blogs, especially the ones written by stay-at-home moms like me because they give me great ideas of stuff I can make at home. If I were to write a blog, it would probably be about our family. It would probably be very boring to blog stalkers, but I bet my extended family would be interested in reading it. Maybe someday I will start writing a blog, but for now I prefer reading other peoples blogs.

Naamah's Blessing (Kushiel's Legacy, #9)Naamah’s Blessing by Jacqueline Carey

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The end of Moirin’s trilogy. I gave this book 4 stars even though I only “liked it” instead of “really liked it” because there was too much that I had to give more credit for.

Jacqueline Carey’s ability to spin her tale within completely different cultures in completely different times still astounds me. This story brought our heroes into the Aztec mythology and lands. It was simply fascinating as a setting and my only complaint was the jerky pace at which the story processed. It would slow and then suddenly speed forward and then slow again. It was a little disorienting at times but I understood the reasoning behind it.

Moirin is still not a character of particular interest to me but she was a good enough tool to drive the story forward. The cast surrounding her helps to fill in the gaps of lost interest so it is not a completely painful reading experience. The ending to the main trouble was rather anti-climatic, which always frustrates me but at the same time there is that understanding yet again. There is only so much one can do in this type of setting without making the heroine out to being a god.

All in all, I am not necessarily sad to see this trilogy end. What disappointed me the most was the lack of real, honest references to the main group of characters from the first two sets of trilogies. Some questions were answered (such as if Imriel and Sidonie have children) but there was just a gigantic lack of how their stories truly ended in their lives. It would not have been too difficult to devote a little time within the story to sate the reader with these tidbits as a way of presenting the realm’s history to the heroine. What I will be sad about is if the author does not proceed with this world she has so beautifully crafted and this is truly the end.

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Hills Pet Nutrition. All opinions are 100% mine.

I’ve been a fan of Hill’s Pet Nutrition for some time now. They have a lot of different options at affordable prices. And what’s neat is that they are all about the animals and the health of said animals. They now have the “Hill’s Healthy Mobility Challenge which is a great way to get your dog started on the path to a healthier life. If you register now, you will receive $30 worth of coupon offers and an entry into the contest to win free pet food for a year. It’s the perfect way to start! Hill’s Healthy Mobility Coupon

And Hill’s doesn’t just deal with dogs. They deal with cats as well. In fact, I just picked up the prescription brand for Lili because she needed something even more specially formulated to deal with her issues. Needless to say, I will be paying a lot more attention to Hill’s Pet Nutrition on Facebook to keep an eye out for special offers and such.

Dogs are supposed to be man’s best friend; We should really try and return the favor by giving them the best chance at a healthy, active lifestyle. Your pet will thank you for it.

Spent the weekend in San Diego and had a shit time of it. I won’t bother to go into the crappy details.

But I did go to the Borders in Mission Valley in its final week of being open. I had dragged my little brother with me and he tagged along behind me. Suddenly, he became my cart horse and was carrying all my newfound books. I spent way too much money and I wound up leaving San Diego with a total of 24 new books for under $80. That was, like, my entire entertainment budget for the month of September right there.

I did, however, manage to nab Naamas’s Blessing by Jacqueline Carey for a mere $10 in hardcover. I had been holding off on that purchase because it was just too expensive. But for $10 and I didn’t have to have it shipped? Heck yeah!

Side note: I seriously need more bookshelves.

Stay Classy, Internets.

About Me

"So I'm a little left of center. I'm a little out of tune..." I am a 20-something redheaded woman. I do not give out my exact age not out of paranoia or a sense of being old but because I am too lazy to make sure this is always up to date every year after my birthday. I am not looking for love, I am not looking for children, and I am not exactly your average single female. I am a geek at heart as well as a secret princess. I have the soul of a gypsy while craving Home. I am diplomatic and am allergic to drama. And coconuts. And anything in the onion family. I have two cats, Charlie and Lili. But most importantly, I am not afraid of who I am.
