Yesterday, I decided to pamper myself a little bit. I went and got my hair trimmed. My hair, overall, is kind of a mess. The thinning out that was done almost a year ago is now growing back in and it’s just… well it was a bad idea. But I don’t regret it because at the time, I was fully ready to just shave my head.
Again.
Anyway, from there I went to a random nail salon and got a pedicure. My toes are purple! FINE. My toe nails are purple. But I like saying that my toes are purple. Then things got awkward. I don’t know if the woman doing my feet realized what she was doing or what was going through her head. Maybe she watches too much porn. But suddenly she went from massaging my leg to massing my foot to rubbing my foot to… well she looked like she was trying to give me a handjob. On my foot. In my head, I was like “…” and then suddenly she looks up at me with the weirdest expression like she was trying to be sultry and licked her upper lip and proceeded to ask if it felt good.
UHM.
AWKWARD.
Seriously?
So back to my happy place I go: I HAZ PURPLE TOES.
Make-A-Wish granted my ‘baby’ cousin’s wish to have a song professionally recorded. It will be available on iTunes come this Tuesday. I’m so proud of her!
There was a time when it was actually fairly difficult to obtain scrubs uniforms. I remember when my mother was going through nursing school (and later working as an LVN and RN) and not only were her only choices “blue” or “blue” but there was one place in the city she could go to and actually purchase the uniforms that she had to practically live in. It was frustrating for her to have to travel to get to the store and then her options were extremely limited even after “blue” wasn’t the requirement any longer. Enter companies like BlueSkyscrubs.com / http://www.blueskyscrubs.com/categories/Scrubs/.
Nowadays, medical scrubs, medical scrub uniforms (or whatever you want to call them) come in so many different patterns and sizes and colors and styles and I swear I considered moving into a field where I could wear them all day and every day. So cute! And it doesn’t get any easier to throw them on and just go.
Looking back, I think my mother would have had a better time with trying to fill her work wardrobe if she had been able to just order everything online and have it shipped directly to her. She wouldn’t have gotten so frustrated and, frankly, depressed by the lack of options and the time it took out of her day off to get them.

You can add cheesecake to just about anything and it’s guaranteed that I’ll eat it. It’s just so incredibly wonderful. I’ve always loved cheesecake anyway and kind of a freak about it now because I love it so much. I had some cheesecake ice cream somewhere at a restaurant and after that I knew that I had to try and make some of it for myself at home. I make cheesecake and ice cream, so I thought that I would be well equipped to make a combination of the two!
But I went online to get a sense of direction on how to exactly make it. While I was doing that I saw the site www.MobileBROADBAND.com and after I read through it some I decided to change over my internet service to it. I was pretty unhappy with my old provider at that point anyhow.
I used a recipe that I found and I think that it turned out really well! Maybe not as well as the kind that I had at that restaurant, but that was obviously professionally made.
Needless to say, my blog has been severely suffering in the posts department. No apologies, just a statement of fact: I am exhausted.
The new job has been going very well. I am picking things up quickly and I’ve moved on from the level one agent stuff to being skilled in my first terminal. After sixty days, this skill gives me a $0.40/hour increase to my pay. Coming straight out of the gate and getting a raise? Yes please. Sure, it means more work and more responsibility but now I understand things that I didn’t as a level one and that pleases me. “Oh, so that’s why I couldn’t do ___ even though the documentation is right there!”
But I am exhausted. No way around that, really.
I’ve been playing Aion a lot lately. My chanter is up to level 41 now and I’ve been holding off on leveling her due to a specific instance that I can run until level 44. I love the legion I’m in under her and it’s been a lot of fun talking to those people.
"So I'm a little left of center. I'm a little out of tune..." I am a 20-something redheaded woman. I do not give out my exact age not out of paranoia or a sense of being old but because I am too lazy to make sure this is always up to date every year after my birthday. I am not looking for love, I am not looking for children, and I am not exactly your average single female. I am a geek at heart as well as a secret princess. I have the soul of a gypsy while craving Home. I am diplomatic and am allergic to drama. And coconuts. And anything in the onion family. I have two cats, Charlie and Lili. But most importantly, I am not afraid of who I am.
