IMPULSE! Bart Allen. He was one of my first comic book loves and mostly because he was just so crack-tacular. His thought bubbles are illustrated. Bart doesn’t think in words; he thinks in pictures. When someone mentions that they were Navy SEALs, he pictured seals dressed in the old Naval uniforms. He absolutely infuriates the villains, he has zero attention span, and is constantly having to be told to do things at ‘regular speed’ or ‘normal speed’ by his mentor.

But what makes Bart so adorable is that he had been raised in a virtual environment. It isn’t until later that he truly learns life does not have a RESET button.

Bart is at his best in Young Justice. He changes names between there and Teen Titans (2.0) and eventually dons the Flash mantle. But it’s YJ-era Bart that I absolutely adore. Impulse is just pure WIN.

Stay Classy, Internets.

About Me

"So I'm a little left of center. I'm a little out of tune..." I am a 20-something redheaded woman. I do not give out my exact age not out of paranoia or a sense of being old but because I am too lazy to make sure this is always up to date every year after my birthday. I am not looking for love, I am not looking for children, and I am not exactly your average single female. I am a geek at heart as well as a secret princess. I have the soul of a gypsy while craving Home. I am diplomatic and am allergic to drama. And coconuts. And anything in the onion family. I have two cats, Charlie and Lili. But most importantly, I am not afraid of who I am.
