I had my phone interview today.
I am not at all optimistic about getting a job offer from them. I try to think positive but the interview was a group interview and handled poorly. On top of that, the woman confused me with another woman in the group interview–Kristin… with an I. And that woman was a moron. So if she’d made some judgments on the other chick, she probably wrongfully attributed it to ME and wasn’t corrected until near the end of the interview in our own one on one.
She just was not a good interviewer. At all. At one point, we had a group ’round table’ discussion and suddenly she was asking us if we had all gotten a chance to speak and which example we’d decided upon as well as who was going to present the example to her. Wait, what? When did that become part of the ‘assignment’? The whole thing was very frustrating. And because I was on a cellphone, she wanted me (and the six or seven others who were) to go on a landline instead. Well. I don’t have one yet. At the end of the interview, people were asking questions and it came up that someone was asking about getting a landline.
This woman actually said that we should be getting our landline situation taken care of before we were even offered a job. Um, what? So let me get this straight: you want us to dole out the money for installation on the chance that we may be offered a job. And then what happens if we don’t get it? We’re stuck with a landline that we didn’t want and now have to pay for?
She was finally corrected and agreed that we should wait until we were offered a job and accepted. But went on to say that we had to have it set up before training began. Well, no kidding.
*sigh*
